I am used to be engrossed with my daily task as a wife, mom and a career woman that I keep on delaying on working on my salvation and my relationship with our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. But I realized that this is an important decision and needs my urgent response as I don’t know when I will bid goodbye.
I have learned the following basic truth about salvation:
a. Salvation is receiving the gift of eternal life
b. Only when I repent my sin, and believe and receive Jesus Christ as my personal saviour that I receive salvation
c. My salvation is complete after I am baptize
d. I will be together with God the Father and Jesus Christ in Heaven during the end of time
e. Heaven is the Kingdom of God and is a definite place
f. This is receive only by the Living person
g. The dead has no more chance to receive eternal life
h. Nor prayers of my love ones can save me
i. Good works cannot save me also but only through Grace of God. (As emphasize by one of the pastor which struck me is that I should be grateful that I am save through Grace and not by good works. If by good works then it is very impossible that I can be saved because good works will be based on the standard or commandments of God and not based on our own definition of good works. As we all know that we could hardly follow God. Before, even I am already a Christian I cannot still give a definite answer of where I am going because I will always doubt because I still fall short and I am not doing good works all the time. And now the truth sets me free, I can definitely say to everyone that I am save and I am going to Heaven because of the grace of our God the Father and not because of my good works. )
If I ignore the free gift of salvation, then I will definitely receive eternal damnation in Hell where there is gnashing of teeth. Same with Heaven, Hell is a definite place also. Once a person is in Hell, he cannot cross over to Heaven and even he prays for help he will not receive such.
Don’t believe this? Then read the Bible. (Luke 12:20; Luke 16:19-31; Romans 3:23; John 3:16)
If you notice, all my message (since I started my blog) was all about salvation and relationship with my God the Father and Jesus Christ as I am aware that I am oblige to share the Gospel and not be ashamed of as what Paul encourages/motivates us to do.
