FAITH or fear

FAITH is inversely related to fear;
As FAITH activated, fear immobilized;
Presence of FAITH is the absence of fear;
With FAITH, GOD is ABOVE ALL ELSE, with fear, God becomes smaller;
With FAITH, focus is on Jesus Christ, with fear, focus is on the storm;
FAITH sees the light at the end of the tunnel, fear looks into the darkness of the tunnel
FAITH is farsighted; fear is nearsighted
Live with FAITH and you choose LIFE over death, you choose TRUTH over lies, you choose LIFE over darkness.
Live with FAITH and everything will come to pass and divine destiny will be realized.
Live with FAITH and you set your eyes on the Kingdom of God.
Do you live with FAITH or fear?

What I give up?

I permitted to have a dysfunctional family. For nine years of my marriage, we live apart with my husband. We are together only every weekend for 7 years and we see each other ones or twice a month for 2 years. This is all because I pursue my career. This is all because I want to have my own earnings. Most importantly I want to have my own name.
Since we live apart and we have our own earnings, most of the time we make decisions, big or small, on our own. Though we share it with each other and serve as FYI only (for your information).
As a couple, we don’t live as one which is in contrast with God’s teaching. We rarely indulge into a fight, though, since we treasure the limited time we have with each other and unconsciously we tolerate each other decision as long as it will not hurt the welfare of our marriage and family.
As parents, we have different style of disciplining the children. My partner is usually the type who spoils the children with shopping, mall hopping and food tripping to repay for his long absence. I am the type who didn’t splurge the children with such things. I am teaching them reward/punishment system. They have to earn every reward I am ready and willing to give them through good values, attitude and good works. I withhold it if they are not yet ready to receive such. Even how heavy and hurting my heart is I have to punish them also if their behavior is no longer tolerable. Most of the time I discipline them through one on one talk, explaining to them what’s right and wrong of what they have done.
It took us so long to break this set-up because we enjoy our freedom and we love the comfort zone we have.  Our good paying job is our security blanket and we cannot easily relinquish.
Then what’s the turning point?
After attending many sessions of Bible study, I cannot ignore the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and most importantly I cannot disobey so I have been praying to God and aspiring that one day we will be together and live as ONE.
I accept that I am not promoting a healthy family. I accept that we as couple did not allow God to be the center of our marriage. I accept that we as couple did not build a healthy relationship and healthy home. I accept that we are giving a confusing way of disciplining the children. I accept that I allow space to grow between that may lead to coldness to the marriage. I accept that I no longer trusted God in our lives but rely on our job forgetful that He is the one who gave it to us.
The most prompting part of it, both I and my husband, experience struggles. My husband could no longer take to be away from his children. He has been missing the children so much. And He noticed the aloofness of my second child. He wants us to be together also. One day he just tells me that He’s going to resign. Without any apprehension I supported his decision.
On my part also, I am no longer happy with my work. I always grumble and complaint. And the long awaited aspiration of promotion in my work did not happen.
However, fear still rules my life and the pressure is getting harder and harder.
I strongly believed that God allows us to experience this struggle to get our attention and resolve immediately the issues at hand. I strongly believed that He orchestrate everything in response to my prayer.
Consequently, I pray harder and harder also. One Sunday I spent it watching Channel TBN after attending mass to discern and to ask guidance on what to do. All throughout the day out of my readings and watching television  the same message I got – To work on my marriage and my family in all aspects of life and especially our Spiritual life, our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ; The bigger my fear the smaller my God (of course I cannot accept this); It’s my fear that will stop me from taking the BIG STEP.
After that without any doubt, I am resolved 100% to give up my career and fully surrender to God everything. I am determined to work on my marriage and my family and to let God the controller of our lives and lead us the path He wants us to take.
Right now, I have no regret of what I have given up. I am happy and at peace even we are still in the adjustment period. This is to be a long journey but worth taking and exciting.

The Most Important in my Life…

When I attended school activity of my son last night, the question raised by the speaker that struck me and encourage me to write about is, “What is the most important in my life?”
This question should not be ignored nor answers be delayed. And equally important is what my response is. Do I know and sure/definite of my answer?
I could not give my definite answer of this question three decades ago.
Today and right at this moment, the most important in my life is that I will be saved and receive the gift of eternal life.
Even if I may gain the whole world – the fame, honor and the wealth, I will not exchange with my heavenly treasure and I will not trade to be with Jesus. My destiny is too great to miss; the peace of my soul is too great to loss.
Lord Jesus right now you are the most important in my life. I humbly accept that I have sinned and fall short your glory but through your grace that you died on the cross to ransom me from death. I believe and accept you as my personal savior. Thank you Jesus for you come to my heart and gives me the gift of eternal life. Amen.
How about you? Have you decided what’s important in your life? Life is too short. You don’t know in a blink of an eye your life will be taken away. Your decision is needed right at this moment.

I AM NO ORDINARY, I AM SPECIAL...

Beyond reasonable doubt, I AM NO ORDINARY, I AM SPECIAL...
My Father is the creator of this universe. How AWESOME! It’s full of complexities yet operates to be well coordinated.   And the most amazing part of this creation is He just SAY the WORD, and the universe appear. Read Genesis 1-2.
However, when God created me I was wonderfully made from the dust and breathe the breath of life and was created in His OWN image.
No question I inherit the greatness of my Father. No reason I will not become a VICTOR and a CHAMPION. And if I will not end up to be such, then there’s no other to be held responsible except myself.
Believing and receiving such truth does not end there but a start of the most wonderful discovery of the greatness inside of me, enjoying making use of it and loving to continue to nurture them for the fulfilment of the task assign to me by our Father for His glory and honor. Would like to emphasize though, that that greatness in me is for God’s purpose and not to be abused for my personal motives and intention. Otherwise everything is useless.
Looking back, I am already blessed, as a student, I excel in school and graduated with honor since elementary years and passed the board examination. As a professional, I have a good paying job and taking an important post in a multi-national company. All these years though I am full of fear and there’s no moment that I don’t get burn out and bored. Consequently, I am not happy and fulfilled. Sad thing about it is I don’t know what to do, I cannot explain and do not know why.
At this time, I have the right direction with God’s grace leading me. I can say that I am a successful and fulfilled person. I quit from my good paying job (for others, it's the worst decision and the most impractical thing to do considering that both my husband and I resigned and having two kids to raise.) and now I am happy and loving having the constant connection with people thru Sophie (source of income provided by our Lord). I am not only doing direct selling but the most fulfilling part of it is sharing God to them – His grace, love, mercy, forgiveness... I play various roles – a sister or a friend whom they can trust their life stories both victories and struggles and whom they can expect to have a shoulder to cry on. I laugh with them or sometimes cry them.
With this I found true happiness and fulfilment that no amount of money can pay nor comparable with my previous achievements. I cannot fathom the joy brought about this wonderful experience.

I come to realize that being EXTRAORDINARY OR SPECIAL does not mean to be the most powerful...does not mean to be the most popular/known person...does not mean to be the wealthiest... But BEING THE PERSON God plans it to be.

Who Am I

It was only two (2) years ago when I truly know who really am. More than three decades of living a meaningless life. A waste of time for others, however, I am grateful that before my life was taken away by the Giver I was given the chance and for Him it’s not too late.
Before, I have a very shallow understanding of myself, most often, I described myself based on physical features, observation of others and biological roots. Neither have I made an effort also of taking time to engage in knowing one’s self.
I thought knowing and having answers of the basic questions, such as who your parents are, what you want to do every day and what your dreams are, is enough to live a happy and successful life but there’s  more to it.
Science discusses the evolution of man which is contrary to the beginnings as discussed in the Book of Genesis in the Bible. But never did I question which is which is true though I believe there is God. I visited church often every Sunday since it’s a basic family Filipino practice but not ALL the time.
Every day I wake up do the usual household chores assign to me before going to school, eat, study, hang out with friends, get home and sleep. Same pattern of activities for two decades and it only change when I have graduated and get paid to work and another decades of same pattern of activities, wake up, eat, work, sleep. Though all these years since my adolescent years I carry my Bible with me and read it with the daily bread not knowing that I simply read it and discard afterwards.
And the time has come when I could  no longer ignore that I am seriously bored, emptiness is creeping inside me and looking for something but don’t know what it is. Ironically, I am wondering why this happen this way when in fact I met, received and believed Jesus Christ as my personal saviour at the age of thirteen (13) years old.
Then one day, God orchestrated everything, when I said yes to His invitation of attending bible study with my officemates. That day is the BIG DAY for me and until now I never regretted it. I have reconciled with Him.
That day I was ashamed but accepted the truth that I am special creation of God, wonderfully made in His own image to be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.
God is the creator, the owner and controller of my life to fulfil the purpose of my existence. And most importantly He is my Father in Heaven.
Imagine...my Father is the creator of the universe...who breathed the life...
I AM NO ORDINARY. Indeed, I AM SPECIAL...with assignment to finish.
Knowing God more each day lead me to know myself better each day.

The Best Decision in Life

After knowing who God is, who Jesus is, what He went through and what He has done, I have made the best decision I have ever made in my life – to know more of Him each day. I consider it a BIG STEP, a breakthrough. I develop an intimate relationship with Him.
This leads me to realization of who I am and what I have done to Jesus. I don’t deserve to be greeted and embraced with such grace, love, mercy, forgiveness...
He implore each one of us to be reconciled with Him...As such I say  a “BIG YES” to be His daughter, His disciple, His servant or in whatever capacity He commission me to do. I surrender all to His will without IFS and conditions as I am safe to be in the palm of His hand. How can I say “NO”?
As part of my response to this calling, I am excited and eager to share my life walking with Jesus Christ in the hope that I can encourage everyone also to make an important decision in their life as well to know God our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ and that they may experience also the grace, love, mercy, forgiveness that God freely given to us.
Life with Jesus is fulfilling – full of meaning, joy and peace. Only then that you can find completeness. You lack nothing. Indeed, He is the source of everything. Moreover, there is true freedom - from sins, from death, from lies...
He is my creator and most importantly my Father in Heaven. It is only fitting that He is number ONE priority of my life. He deserves to be first in everything I do. He has the right to have complete control of my life.
I have a lot of beautiful discoveries and amazing things uncovered about God, about me and about this life I have out of simply being with Him. No need for scientific formula and analysis.
To grow more each day and to bear fruits each day, I spend time reading the Bible, talking to God, fellowship with our sisters and brothers, bias for action and grateful to God for the pruning time, for the discipline, for the hard pressures in order for me to come out to be a refine and shining jewel.
Bible (Best instruction before leaving earth) is the ever manual in life. It is found everywhere and readily available if needed. But most of the time, it is only displayed in the altar or kept in the bookshelves. Reading and studying the Bible will lead you to His Word which gives life and health to the flesh. Many beautiful stories can be read. Many beautiful promises revealed to those who read it. No book can ever surpass or outdone the great truths in the Bible.
Prayer is the channel of communication given to us. No downtime, no breakdown, instead open 24 hours in 7 days a week. Every talk spent is refreshing and leads to close encounter with Him, a warm embrace...It may be full of praises and worships, full of thanksgiving, full of surrender, full of supplication...no limits, no boundaries.
Regular fellowship with everyone helps my spiritual growth and bless with the sharing of victories and struggles and knowing more Jesus in each of His creations. No racial discrimination. No great or small. No rich or poor.
Practice living out the life Jesus wants us to emulate, the virtues and values He demonstrated, the path He is leading us to take. Every day is a challenge and a training ground of actual practice.
How about you? What’s the best decision you ever made?
